Community

Community development is defined as a process where community members come together to take collective action and generate solutions to common problems. Its applied to the practices of civic leaders, activists, involved citizens, and professionals to improve various aspects of communities, typically aiming to build stronger and more resilient stakeholder communities.

Community development is also understood as a professional discipline, as “a practice-based profession that promotes participation, issue identification, sustainable development, rights, individual opportunity, education and empowerment of people within their communities, whether these be of local, national or global.

Community development seeks to empower individuals and groups of people with the skills they need to effect targeted change within their communities. These skills are often created through the formation of stakeholder groups working for a common agenda.

Patient Advocacy

Identify key external patient, physician and caregiver networks important to the ecosystem of targeted molecule. Raise awareness of disease and solutions to targeted groups. Develop relations with targeted  local, regional, national or global groups to create and develop reputation.

Public Affairs and Communications

Develop relations with local, regional, national or global communities and invest time and resources early to increase positive reputation and impact of company.

Government Affairs

Create network of local, State, Federal contacts to share company mission and vision. Monitor key legislative developments impacting the targeted medicine access, price, reimbursement and other environmental factors. Shape legislation and work with trade associations to optimize leverage.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Create company programs to enhance company reputation locally, regionally and globally.
